Guided Ice Fishing
Ice fishing is excellent along the Gunflint Trail, with several species becoming even more active in the winter, including – Lake Trout, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, Splake, Whitefish, and Eelpout.
We offer a variety of guided ice fishing adventures – some involve snowmobiling, some snowshoeing, and others require a bit of both. It all depends on what fish you want to target, and whether we are inside or outside the BWCAW.
Check out the different fish species you can catch along the Gunflint Trail.
Regardless if you are a seasoned angler, or new to fishing, we’ve got you covered. The goal is always to catch fish, but at the end of the day we believe it shouldn’t come at the expense of relaxing, enjoying the outdoors, and having fun!
Experienced anglers – If you are they type of person that likes to hit numerous locations, change-up presentations, experiment with techniques, target multiple species, and basically fish hard – then we will certainly get along!
Novice anglers – I pride myself on being a patient teacher, whether in a boat or on the ice. At the end of the day, I want you to come away with great memories, have a fun adventure, learn something along the way, and of course catch fish! I am happy to walk you through every detail of the trip – lure selection, picking locations, fish behavior, how to read a fish finder, how to clean your catch, etc. Think of it as a fishing 101 class.
